Eating out in the Cape

 

Cape Town and the surrounding winelands can easily lay claim to the title of "the gastronomic hub of Southern Africa".  There is a tremendous variety of cuisine's and you can spend a little, or a lot, satiating your hunger!  Listed below are a number of Pam's "favourites".

 

Note that South Africa does not have the Michelin star guide for restaurants, as such the most accredited source for the ratings of our restaurants lies in the Top 10 restaurant awards given by Eat Out magazine each year (simply click here to view them and to see my comments).  As such if you are looking for the contact details of the top restaurants, check out the following websites: www.eatout.co.za and www.dining-out.co.za   It is advisable to pre-book well in advance if you are coming between November and the end of February.
