Join chefs Margot Janse and Chris Erasmus, of Le Quartier Français fame, and Neil & Tina Jewell, from Bread & Wine, in a four day culinary adventure.
Take pleasure in exploring the local fl avours and unearthing the secrets of the kitchen with the world-renowned Margot.
At Bread & Wine, you will spend time soaking up the unstructured passion and tactile pleasure of bread and charcuterie making with the supremely talented, and fun loving, Jewell duo. Then to learn how to blend wine with the young talented winemaker from, the award winning, Môreson wine farm.
When you’re not in the kitchen you will be guided on a personal and indulgent journey of Franschhoek, discovering wineries, tasting locally produced olive oils, sampling local farm cheeses, visiting the neighbourhood organic herb farm and enjoying interactive dinners with some of the best chefs in the valley.
Enjoy a final voyage with Margot, through the Tasting Room’s exceptionalmenu combinations.

PROGRAMME:
Day One Check in at leisure
18.30 Informal dinner with the chefs at the owner’s house.
Day Two
10.00 -15.00 Cooking with Margot Janse and lunch in the owner’s house.
Afternoon to explore.
19.30 Dinner at Bouillabaisse with Chef Camil Haas.
Day Three
10.00 bread and wine day – charcuterie and bread baking
wine blending and tasting session at Moreson followed by lunch.
19.30 Dinner at the chef’s table at Bon Vivant (25 July 2008) and Reubens (12 September 2008.)
Day Four 
10.00 Visit an organic herb farm with Margot and pick the herbs for the afternoon course.
Cheese tasting and lunch in iCi.
15.00 Cooking course at the owner’s house followed by dinner with the chef and wine specialist.
Day Five
10.00 Visit Haut Espoir for a wine tasting followed by olive oil tasting at the Franschhoek Olive Oil company.
Lunch with Oysters and Neil’s smoked salmon while tasting Cap Classique and Champagne at Franschhoek Pass Winery.
Afternoon to indulge in retail or beauty therapy.
20.00 Farewell dinner in The Tasting Room.
Day Six
Depart after breakfast.

5 nights accommodation in a luxury room, all breakfasts, lunches, dinners, wines with meals, cooking lessons, visits to wine farms, tastings, aprons, recipes and laundry of aprons. All extras to be settled on departure. (A portion of this fee goes to a local feeding scheme for school children.)

To confi rm participation a non refundable 50% deposit is required on booking and full prepayment is required at least 30 days in advance. Any cancellations thereafter will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
