HONEYMOONERS/COUPLES: AN INTIMATE EVENING CELEBRATING FOOD PREPARATION, PRESENTATION AND MOOD CREATION
 
Your host, chef Sophia, invites you to join her in her home for an intimate hands-on cooking extravaganza.

 

The evening will unfold is as follows -

  • Join Sophia at her home in Bergvliet, at 15h30.  Here you will be welcomed at the door by her and offered a glass of one of our superb South African wines while getting to know one another.
  • Each person will get an apron to use during cooking procedures - this they can take home with them as a reminder of our evening together. 
  • The cooking begins at 16h00.  Sophia would have done a bit of preparation to streamline events...
    • There will be scrumptious snacks to nibble on, and drinks on ice...
    • We will prepare the meal and then do the table setting. Depending on the weather, she will show you how to lay a beautiful and romantic table either outside under the big tree, or at the pool, on the balcony, on the porch, or in the dining room - we can have a lot of fun with this...  Sophia loves the detail of setting the table, as she believes that this, along with the presentation of food, greatly influences the meal!
    • By then, it's time to get back into the kitchen where we finish up ourthree-course meal, top up our glasses, and enjoy each other's company.
  • The first course is served at around 19h30, and the evening can end anywhere between 21h30 and 22h30.
     
    Critical information needed prior to the event -
    1.  We would need to know whether there are any food allergies, medical conditions that would influence choice of menu, religious preferences, or things they absolutely hate to eat. 
    2. We also like to know whether there is something that you particularly love to eat.
    3. In order to do the table settings and make it personal and appropriate, we would like to know what your interests are,
    4. as well as what you favourite colours and flowers are.

COST:  R2400 per couple for the evening - this includes participation time, all the ingredients, wine, flowers, and the three-course meal. Note that you can either drive or book a taxi through to Sophia’s house. 
 
Sophia will see you off with a small foodie-type gift and a folder with copies of all recipes used that evening.
